TAXEE DRIVER TERMS OF USE
Effective date: 14 August 2026
Last updated: 14 August 2026
1. General Provisions
These Taxee Driver Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern the use of the Taxee Driver application and the related Taxee software infrastructure.
The operator of the Taxee platform is:
LJet s.r.o.
Obchodná 39
811 06 Bratislava
Slovakia
IČO: 46 910 590
DIČ: 2023651465
IČ DPH (VAT): SK2023651465
Email: [email protected]
By using Taxee Driver, creating an account, or going Online, the driver confirms that they have read and accept these Terms.
2. What Taxee Driver Is
Taxee Driver is a software application providing drivers with technical access to ride requests from independent taxi companies using the Taxee platform.
Taxee provides technical functions enabling drivers, among other things, to:
- create an account;
- connect to one or more taxi companies;
- select an active taxi company;
- go Online and Offline;
- receive ride requests;
- accept or decline ride requests;
- receive information necessary to perform a trip;
- use navigation functions;
- update trip statuses;
- indicate the payment method used to complete a trip;
- view trip history;
- access calculation information provided by the relevant taxi company;
- use other available Taxee Driver functions.
LJet s.r.o. is not a taxi company, does not act as a carrier, and is not the driver’s employer.
3. Relationship Between the Driver, Taxee, and the Taxi Company
Use of Taxee Driver does not, by itself, create between the driver and LJet s.r.o.:
- an employment relationship;
- an employer-employee relationship;
- an agency relationship;
- a representative relationship;
- a partnership;
- a joint venture;
- a franchise relationship;
- any obligation on LJet s.r.o. to provide the driver with a specific or minimum number of ride requests.
Taxee provides a software tool.
The terms under which a driver cooperates with a particular taxi company are determined directly between the driver and that company.
LJet s.r.o. is not a party to such arrangements.
4. Driver Registration
The driver creates their Taxee Driver account independently.
Registration is performed using a telephone number verified by a one-time six-digit SMS code (OTP).
The driver provides information required for operation of the account, which may include:
- first name;
- last name;
- telephone number;
- email address;
- photograph;
- other information required for the available Taxee Driver functions.
The driver must provide accurate and up-to-date information.
One telephone number is intended for one Taxee Driver account.
5. Connection to a Taxi Company
A taxi company may add a driver to its system using the driver’s telephone number.
The company may do so before or after the driver registers with Taxee Driver.
After registration and verification of the telephone number, Taxee may technically determine which taxi companies have added the driver and provide the driver with the corresponding access.
Connecting a driver to a taxi company through Taxee is a technical platform function and does not itself create an employment, commercial, or other contractual relationship between the driver and LJet s.r.o.
The driver and the relevant taxi company are independently responsible for their arrangements and for the lawfulness of their relationship.
6. Working With Multiple Taxi Companies
A driver may be connected to multiple independent taxi companies.
However, only one taxi company may be active at a time in Taxee Driver.
The driver may switch between available taxi companies using the functionality provided in the application.
For example, a driver may operate through one taxi company at one time and switch to another taxi company later.
LJet s.r.o. does not determine which taxi company a driver must work with or when the driver may switch between companies.
7. Vehicle
Information about vehicles available to the driver is determined by the data of the relevant taxi company and its relationship with the driver.
A vehicle may belong to the driver, the taxi company, or another person, depending on their arrangements.
LJet s.r.o. does not determine ownership of the vehicle and is not a party to arrangements concerning its use.
Before going Online, the driver must use a vehicle that they are legally and properly entitled to use for the relevant transportation service.
8. Documents, Permits, and Lawfulness of Transportation Services
LJet s.r.o. is not a transportation, licensing, or regulatory authority.
As part of the standard operation of the platform, Taxee does not perform mandatory advance verification of:
- driving licences;
- professional permits;
- licences;
- concessions;
- medical documents;
- insurance;
- vehicle roadworthiness;
- vehicle documentation;
- other documents that may be required for passenger transportation services.
The driver and the relevant taxi company are responsible, in accordance with applicable law and their relationship, for holding all necessary documents and complying with applicable legal requirements.
Possession of a Taxee Driver account does not constitute a licence or confirmation by LJet s.r.o. that the driver is legally entitled to provide passenger transportation services.
9. Online and Offline Status
The driver independently determines when they wish to be available to receive ride requests using the Online and Offline functions.
Online means that the driver informs the platform that they are available to receive suitable ride requests.
Offline means that the driver does not participate in the distribution of new ride requests.
LJet s.r.o. does not impose on the driver:
- working hours;
- a minimum number of working hours;
- mandatory times for being Online;
- a mandatory number of trips;
- a minimum ride-request acceptance rate.
The driver independently manages their availability, subject to any rules and arrangements between the driver and the relevant taxi company.
10. Driver Location
When the driver is Online, Taxee Driver uses the driver’s location data to provide platform functions.
Location data may be used, in particular, for:
- determining driver availability;
- identifying suitable ride requests;
- determining the distance to the passenger;
- distributing ride requests;
- calculating estimated time of arrival;
- supporting an active trip;
- displaying vehicle movement to the passenger;
- dispatching functions;
- restoring and maintaining the state of an active ride request.
While the driver remains Online, location transmission may continue when the application is operating in the background.
When the driver goes Offline, location transmission for the purposes of driver availability and receiving new ride requests stops.
Further information about data processing is provided in the Taxee Privacy Policy.
11. Receiving Ride Requests
When a driver is Online, Taxee may send the driver suitable ride requests.
When matching a ride request, the system may take into account:
- location;
- distance from the passenger;
- the driver’s selected operating area;
- selected vehicle;
- vehicle category;
- active taxi company;
- parameters of the relevant ride request;
- other technical criteria.
Receiving a ride request does not create an obligation for the driver to accept it.
12. Freedom to Accept or Decline Ride Requests
The driver independently decides whether to accept each ride request offered to them.
The driver may:
- accept the ride request;
- decline the ride request;
- not respond and allow the offer period to expire.
LJet s.r.o. does not impose a penalty on a driver solely for declining a ride request or failing to respond to it.
Taxee does not guarantee the driver any minimum or specific number of ride requests.
The internal rules of a particular taxi company and its arrangements with the driver constitute a separate relationship in which LJet s.r.o. does not participate.
13. Assignment of a Ride Request
If the driver accepts a ride request and the system confirms its assignment, the ride request is assigned to that driver.
After acceptance, the driver receives the information necessary to perform the trip within the functionality available in Taxee.
Such information may include:
- passenger’s name;
- pickup location;
- destination;
- trip price;
- payment method;
- other information necessary to perform the specific trip, where the relevant function is available.
The driver must use the information received exclusively for the purpose of performing the relevant ride request.
14. Cancellation of an Accepted Ride Request by the Driver
A driver may cancel an already accepted ride request if the trip cannot be performed or the driver decides not to perform it.
Following cancellation, Taxee may automatically continue searching for another suitable driver.
LJet s.r.o. does not impose a separate penalty on the driver solely for cancelling a ride request.
However, systematic abuse of platform functionality, fraud, creation of artificial transactions or situations, or intentional interference with the operation of the platform may be addressed separately under these Terms.
15. Performance of Transportation Services
After accepting a ride request, the driver performs the transportation service within the framework of their relationship with the relevant taxi company and the passenger.
LJet s.r.o. does not operate the vehicle and does not physically transport passengers.
The driver must comply with applicable law, including road traffic and safety requirements.
The driver is independently responsible for the safe operation of the vehicle.
Use of Taxee Driver, navigation, mobile devices, notifications, or other application functions does not release the driver from the obligation to drive safely.
The driver must not interact with a mobile device in a manner prohibited by law or in a manner that creates a road safety risk.
16. Trip Price
The trip price is calculated by Taxee software using the relevant fare parameters.
The fares of a specific taxi company are established by that taxi company itself, not by LJet s.r.o.
LJet s.r.o. does not determine:
- the price per kilometre;
- the minimum trip price;
- the company’s fare categories;
- the company’s commercial pricing policy;
- the driver’s remuneration;
- the commission or financial arrangement between the driver and the taxi company.
When Taxee Pool is used, the price may be calculated automatically using the fares of available independent taxi companies in accordance with the Pool rules.
17. Taxee Pool
Taxee Pool is a software function through which ride requests may be distributed among suitable drivers of available independent taxi companies.
Each taxi company independently establishes its own fares.
For the relevant route, Taxee calculates the price using the fares of the available companies.
Where several available companies participate, the Pool Price is calculated automatically by the software algorithm as the arithmetic mean of the corresponding calculated prices.
LJet s.r.o. does not set the underlying fares of taxi companies and does not manually modify the Pool Price.
When a driver receives a Pool ride request, the driver may accept it, decline it, or not respond.
Acceptance of Pool ride requests is not mandatory under the rules of LJet s.r.o.
18. Financial Relationship Between the Driver and the Taxi Company
The taxi company independently determines its financial relationship with the driver.
This may include:
- the amount or percentage of remuneration;
- the company’s commission;
- settlement arrangements;
- payment frequency;
- conditions relating to use of a vehicle;
- other financial arrangements.
Taxee may provide the taxi company and driver with technical tools for calculating the relevant amounts.
For example, a taxi company may configure a percentage or other parameters in its account, after which Taxee automatically calculates the corresponding amounts.
The availability of such calculation tools does not mean that LJet s.r.o. determines the driver’s commission, earnings, or remuneration.
LJet s.r.o. is not a party to the financial relationship between the driver and the taxi company.
19. Driver Earnings and Payments
Information regarding earnings, commissions, or amounts payable displayed in Taxee Driver may be generated on the basis of completed trips and the settings of the relevant taxi company.
Such information constitutes a technical calculation provided by the platform.
LJet s.r.o. is not the driver’s employer and does not pay the driver a salary or remuneration for transportation services performed by the driver.
Any obligation to settle amounts with the driver is determined by the relationship between the driver and the relevant taxi company.
Disputes concerning remuneration, commissions, or payments must be resolved between the driver and the relevant taxi company.
20. Passenger Payments
Depending on the settings of the taxi company, passengers may pay for a trip using:
- Card;
- Terminal;
- Cash;
- other payment methods that may become available in the future.
For card payments, funds for the transportation service are processed through Stripe and directed for the benefit of the relevant taxi company.
LJet s.r.o. is not the recipient of passenger payments for transportation services.
Cash and Terminal payments are transactions between the passenger, driver, and relevant taxi company according to their applicable arrangements.
21. Completing a Ride Request and Confirming Payment
Taxee Driver provides technical functions for updating the status of a trip and completing it.
The driver must enter the actual status of the ride request and accurate information regarding the method by which payment was completed.
It is prohibited to intentionally enter false trip statuses, record fictitious completed trips, or provide false payment information for the purpose of obtaining an improper benefit or manipulating platform data.
22. Trip History and Calculation Information
Taxee Driver may provide the driver with a history of completed trips and related calculation information.
The displayed information may include:
- date and time;
- route;
- trip price;
- payment method;
- relevant taxi company;
- calculated amounts;
- other information relating to the relevant ride request.
Personal data retention is governed by the Taxee Privacy Policy.
23. Suspension of a Driver by a Taxi Company
Within the functionality of the platform, a taxi company may:
- connect a driver;
- temporarily suspend the driver’s access to that company;
- restore the driver’s access;
- remove the driver’s association with that company.
Actions taken by a taxi company apply to the driver’s relationship with that particular company.
If the driver is connected to other taxi companies and the driver’s Taxee account has not been restricted by the platform itself, suspension or removal by one taxi company does not by itself prevent the driver from operating with another taxi company.
24. Restriction of an Account by LJet s.r.o.
LJet s.r.o. may temporarily restrict, suspend, or terminate access to Taxee Driver where there are reasonable grounds relating to the platform itself, including:
- fraud;
- technical attacks;
- interference with the application, APIs, or server infrastructure;
- circumvention of security mechanisms;
- creation of fictitious ride requests or trips;
- unlawful use of personal data;
- material or repeated breaches of these Terms;
- serious safety-related complaints;
- threats to other users;
- a binding request from a competent authority;
- other serious abuse of the platform.
Where a matter concerns a complaint about the driver’s transportation activities, LJet s.r.o. may contact the relevant taxi company to review the matter.
If the taxi company fails to respond to a serious issue, or if immediate action is required to protect the platform or its users, LJet s.r.o. may temporarily restrict the driver’s access while the circumstances are reviewed.
A restriction imposed directly by LJet s.r.o. may limit the driver’s ability to use Taxee Driver through all associated taxi companies.
25. Passenger Complaints
The relevant taxi company is primarily responsible for handling complaints directly relating to the transportation service.
If LJet s.r.o. receives a complaint concerning a driver, the platform may forward the complaint to the relevant taxi company.
In serious circumstances involving safety, fraud, or abuse of Taxee, LJet s.r.o. may take temporary technical measures while the matter is being reviewed.
26. Prohibited Use of Taxee Driver
Drivers must not:
- create or participate in fictitious trips;
- artificially increase turnover or trip numbers;
- manipulate location data for the purpose of deceiving the system;
- intentionally submit false trip statuses;
- use another person’s account;
- allow another driver to use their account;
- interfere with the application, APIs, or servers;
- circumvent technical restrictions;
- use unauthorised bots, scripts, or automation;
- obtain unauthorised access to data;
- use passenger data for purposes unrelated to the relevant transportation service;
- copy or distribute passenger personal data without a lawful basis;
- use Taxee for fraud or other unlawful activities.
27. Passenger Personal Data
Passenger data made available to the driver in connection with a ride request is provided exclusively for the purpose of performing the relevant trip.
The driver must not use such data for:
- their own advertising;
- subsequent unsolicited contact;
- disclosure to third parties;
- creation of independent databases;
- any other purpose unrelated to performance of the ride request, unless a separate lawful basis exists.
28. Responsibility of the Driver and Taxi Company
The driver and the relevant taxi company are responsible under applicable law for the actual performance of passenger transportation services.
LJet s.r.o. is not liable as a carrier for:
- operation of the vehicle;
- road traffic accidents;
- the driver’s actions during transportation;
- the technical condition of the vehicle;
- possession of required licences or permits;
- vehicle or transportation insurance;
- violations of road traffic rules by the driver;
- damage to passenger luggage;
- other circumstances directly connected with the actual provision of the transportation service.
Nothing in this section limits the liability of LJet s.r.o. for its own activities where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
29. Operation of the Software
LJet s.r.o. takes reasonable measures to maintain the operation of Taxee Driver.
However, the application depends on third-party systems and infrastructure, including:
- internet connectivity;
- mobile networks;
- GPS;
- Firebase;
- push notification services;
- the device operating system;
- mapping and navigation services;
- server infrastructure;
- payment and communication services.
Accordingly, uninterrupted and error-free operation cannot be guaranteed at all times.
Technical maintenance, updates, temporary failures, notification delays, or temporary unavailability of individual functions may occur.
30. Notifications and Background Operation
For Taxee Driver to function properly, particularly while the driver is Online, the application may use:
- push notifications;
- sound notifications;
- background processes;
- background location;
- system notifications;
- other mechanisms permitted by the operating system.
Certain functions may not operate correctly if the driver disables required system permissions, restricts background operation, disconnects internet access, or applies device settings that interfere with Taxee Driver functionality.
31. Navigation
Taxee Driver may provide built-in navigation functionality or allow the driver to use third-party navigation applications.
Navigation information is provided as auxiliary technical information.
The driver must independently assess road conditions, road signs, traffic restrictions, and legal requirements.
Navigation instructions do not take precedence over traffic laws or road signs.
32. Account Deletion
The driver may delete their Taxee Driver account using the account deletion function provided in the application.
Deleting the account terminates the driver’s ability to use that Taxee Driver account.
Processing and deletion of personal data are governed by the Taxee Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Deletion of the Taxee Driver account does not automatically delete records or documents that the relevant taxi company is independently required to retain under applicable law.
33. Changes to Functionality
LJet s.r.o. may develop and modify Taxee Driver, including adding, changing, or discontinuing individual functions.
Such changes may be made for technical, commercial, legal, or security reasons.
LJet s.r.o. does not guarantee that every individual application function will remain available indefinitely or remain unchanged.
34. Changes to These Terms
LJet s.r.o. may update these Terms from time to time, including due to:
- development of the platform;
- introduction of new functionality;
- changes to the technical model;
- changes in applicable law;
- security requirements.
The current version is published on the official Taxee website.
Where changes are material, the driver may be notified through the application, by email, or by another appropriate method.
Continued use of Taxee Driver after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
35. Applicable Law
The relationship between a Taxee Driver user and LJet s.r.o. is governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic, unless mandatory provisions of applicable law require otherwise.
Disputes arising directly between a driver and a taxi company concerning work, remuneration, commissions, vehicles, or other arrangements between them are not disputes between the driver and LJet s.r.o.
