TAXEE TERMS OF USE FOR PASSENGERS
Effective date: 14 August 2026
Last updated: 14 August 2026
1. General Provisions
These Taxee Terms of Use for Passengers (âTermsâ) govern the use of the Taxee passenger application, related web services, and Taxee software infrastructure.
The operator of the Taxee platform is:
LJet s.r.o.
ObchodnĂĄ 39
811 06 Bratislava
Slovakia
IÄO: 46 910 590
DIÄ: 2023651465

By using Taxee, creating an account, or placing a ride request through the platform, the user confirms that they have read and accept these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
2. What Taxee Is
Taxee is a technology platform providing software and digital infrastructure for interaction between passengers, independent taxi companies, and their drivers.
LJet s.r.o. is not a taxi company, does not act as a carrier, and does not provide passenger transportation services.
Taxee provides technical tools enabling passengers, among other things, to:
- create a user account;
- specify a pickup location and destination;
- obtain a calculated trip price;
- select an available taxi company or use Taxee Pool;
- place a ride request;
- receive information about the assigned driver and vehicle;
- track the status of a trip;
- select an available payment method;
- view trip history;
- receive and download trip-related documents.
The actual passenger transportation service is provided by the relevant independent taxi company.
3. Transportation Agreement
When a ride request is accepted by the relevant taxi company and its driver, the passenger transportation relationship arises directly between the passenger and the taxi company performing the trip.
LJet s.r.o. is not a party to the transportation agreement.
The taxi company is independently responsible for organising and performing the transportation service, its drivers, vehicles, required permits, insurance, and compliance with legal requirements applicable to its activities.
The use of Taxee software to create, transmit, process, or support a ride request does not make LJet s.r.o. a carrier, an agent of the carrier, or the provider of the transportation service itself.
4. Passenger Account
To use the main functions of Taxee, the passenger creates a personal account.
Registration is performed using a telephone number verified by a one-time six-digit SMS code (OTP).
The user provides information required for operation of the account, including their name and email address. A profile photograph is optional unless otherwise required for a specific function.
The user must provide accurate and up-to-date information.
One telephone number is intended for one personal passenger account.
Users must not provide access to their account to other persons in a manner that may result in unauthorised or improper use of the platform.
Users are responsible for activities carried out through their account, except where unauthorised access occurs in circumstances for which the user is not responsible under applicable law.
5. Placing a Ride Request
To place a ride request, the passenger specifies or confirms the pickup location and destination.
Taxee uses available route, fare, and taxi company availability information to technically calculate the trip price.
Before the ride request is confirmed, the passenger is shown the calculated price.
Once the passenger confirms the ride request, the displayed price is fixed for that ride request and will not increase due to the route taken by the driver, traffic conditions, congestion, or the duration of the trip.
The function for changing the destination after confirmation of a ride request may not be available. If the passenger and the carrier agree to change the trip outside the functionality provided by Taxee, such arrangements are between the passenger and the relevant taxi company.
6. Selecting a Specific Taxi Company
Taxee allows passengers to use services provided by specific available taxi companies.
Where the passenger selects a specific taxi company, the price is calculated based on the fare parameters independently established by that company.
LJet s.r.o. does not set the fare of that taxi company.
If no suitable driver of the selected company accepts the ride request within the applicable search period, or if no suitable vehicle is available, Taxee may inform the passenger that no vehicle is available and terminate the current search.
A price confirmed by the passenger for a ride request with a specific taxi company will not automatically be replaced by a higher or otherwise different price of another carrier without a new calculation and confirmation by the passenger.
7. Favourite Taxi Companies
Taxee may allow passengers to save several preferred taxi companies.
Where the passenger uses a group of selected companies, only those companies that are available for the relevant ride request are included in the calculation.
A company is considered available for the relevant calculation where a suitable driver is Online and available to receive the ride request, taking into account location, vehicle category, operating area, and other applicable parameters.
If only one of the selected companies is available, the price is calculated using that companyâs fare.
If several selected companies are available, the price may be calculated using the Pool algorithm described below.
8. Taxee Pool
Taxee Pool is a software function that allows a passenger to place a ride request based on available independent taxi companies without having to manually select one specific company.
Each taxi company independently establishes its own fares and fare parameters.
LJet s.r.o.:
- does not set taxi company fares;
- does not set minimum or maximum transportation prices;
- does not require taxi companies to use identical fares;
- does not determine the commercial transportation terms of the relevant taxi company.
When Pool is used, the system identifies taxi companies with suitable Online drivers available for the relevant ride request.
For the same route, the software calculates the trip price using the fare parameters of each such taxi company.
Where several companies are available, the Pool Price is automatically calculated as the arithmetic mean of the calculated prices for the same trip among the companies included in the calculation.
Where only one company is available for the calculation, the price calculated using that companyâs fare is used.
The calculation is performed automatically by the software algorithm. LJet s.r.o. does not manually select or modify the prices included in the calculation.
9. Fixing the Pool Price
Before a ride request is placed, the passenger is shown the calculated Pool Price.
Once the passenger confirms the ride request, this price is fixed for that ride request.
Changes in the number of available companies or drivers after confirmation do not change the price already confirmed by the passenger.
If no driver is found within the applicable search period, the current search is terminated.
The passenger is returned to the option to place a new ride request. A new ride request constitutes a new calculation based on the availability and fare parameters applicable at the time of the new calculation.
Accordingly, the price of a new ride request may differ from the price of the previous unfulfilled ride request.
10. Driver Search and Assignment
After the passenger confirms a ride request, Taxee automatically performs a technical search for a suitable driver.
The search may take into account:
- the driverâs location;
- Online status;
- distance from the passenger;
- the driverâs operating area;
- selected vehicle category;
- the driverâs active taxi company;
- vehicle availability;
- other technical parameters required to process the ride request.
The ride request may be offered sequentially to suitable drivers according to the platform algorithm, including on the basis of distance.
A driver may accept the ride request, decline it, or not respond to it.
Taxee does not guarantee that any particular driver will accept a ride request or that a vehicle will be found for every ride request.
If no driver is found within the applicable search period, the ride request is not considered an accepted transportation service, the search ends, and the passenger may place a new ride request.
11. Driverâs Right to Decline a Ride Request
Drivers of independent taxi companies independently decide whether to accept an available ride request within the rules of their respective taxi company.
LJet s.r.o. does not impose a penalty on a driver solely because the driver declines a Taxee ride request or does not respond to it.
The relationship between a driver and the relevant taxi company, including the companyâs internal rules, is not governed by these Passenger Terms.
If a driver cancels an already accepted ride request before the transportation service is performed, Taxee may attempt to find another suitable driver within the same ride request where technically possible.
12. Cancellation by the Passenger
The passenger may cancel a ride request using the cancellation function available in the application until the stage at which the trip has been completed and final confirmation or processing of payment is required.
Under the current Taxee model, the platform itself does not charge passengers a separate cancellation fee.
Passengers must use the cancellation function in good faith.
Systematically placing knowingly false ride requests, intentionally placing ride requests without any intention to travel, or otherwise abusing the cancellation function may constitute a breach of these Terms.
13. Passenger No-Show and Inability to Perform the Trip
If the driver arrives at the pickup location and the passenger does not appear, or the trip cannot begin for reasons beyond the driverâs control, the ride request may be cancelled.
Under the current Taxee model, Taxee does not impose a separate passenger penalty for such cancellation.
However, repeated false ride requests, repeated intentional no-shows, or other abuse of the platform may result in restrictions being placed on the userâs account.
A driver or taxi company may also refuse to perform a transportation service in circumstances permitted by applicable law, including situations involving safety concerns, threats, aggressive behaviour, or an objective inability to perform the trip safely.
14. Trip Prices and Fares
The fares of individual taxi companies are established independently by the taxi companies themselves.
LJet s.r.o. does not determine:
- the price per kilometre;
- minimum trip prices;
- the companyâs fare categories;
- the carrierâs commercial pricing policy;
- internal financial arrangements between a taxi company and its drivers.
Taxee provides software for applying fare parameters entered by taxi companies and automatically calculating trip prices.
For a specific confirmed ride request, the passenger is charged the price displayed and confirmed before placing that ride request, subject to these Terms.
15. Payment Methods
Depending on the settings of the relevant taxi company, passengers may be offered different payment methods, including:
- Card â payment by bank card through integrated payment infrastructure;
- Terminal â payment using a payment terminal operated by the relevant taxi company or driver;
- Cash â cash payment directly in connection with the transportation service provided by the carrier.
Availability of a particular payment method depends on the settings and capabilities of the relevant taxi company.
16. Card Payments and Stripe
Where a passenger chooses to pay by bank card, payment processing is carried out through Stripe.
LJet s.r.o. is not the recipient of passenger funds paid for transportation services.
Funds for the relevant transportation service are processed through Stripe payment infrastructure for the benefit of the relevant taxi company and are directed to its connected Stripe account.
LJet s.r.o. provides the technical integration between Taxee and Stripe but does not store the passengerâs full payment card number or CVC.
Card payment processing may also be subject to the terms of the relevant payment service provider.
Chargebacks, refunds, or disputes relating to card transactions may require the involvement of the relevant taxi company and Stripe. Taxee may provide available technical information relating to the relevant ride request where necessary and permitted by law.
17. Cash and Terminal Payments
Where Cash is selected, the passenger pays directly in connection with the transportation service provided by the relevant taxi company.
Where Terminal is selected, payment is made using a payment terminal operated by the relevant taxi company or its driver.
LJet s.r.o. does not receive or hold such funds and is not a party to the relevant payment transaction between the passenger and the carrier.
18. Invoice
Following completion of a trip, an electronic invoice for the relevant transportation service may be generated through Taxeeâs technical infrastructure.
The invoice for the transportation service is issued on behalf of the relevant taxi company that provided the transportation service, not on behalf of LJet s.r.o.
The passenger may be able to download the invoice in PDF format directly through Taxee. The document may also be sent to the passengerâs email address.
The taxi company is responsible for the accuracy of its legal, accounting, and tax details and for the content of documents it is required to issue in connection with the transportation service provided.
LJet s.r.o. provides the technical mechanism for generating, storing, and delivering the document.
19. Carrier Information and Post-Trip Enquiries
Information about the taxi company that performed the trip is retained as part of the relevant trip information.
Taxee may provide the passenger with the taxi companyâs name and contact details, including its support email address, so that the passenger can contact the carrier directly regarding a specific trip.
Complaints relating directly to the quality of the transportation service, driver conduct, vehicle, route, luggage, delay, or other circumstances relating to the transportation service should primarily be addressed to the relevant taxi company.
If LJet s.r.o. receives such a complaint, LJet s.r.o. may forward it to the relevant taxi company for review.
20. Responsibility of the Taxi Company
To the extent provided by applicable law, the relevant taxi company is independently responsible for the transportation services it provides, including matters relating to:
- drivers;
- vehicles;
- transportation safety;
- required licences and permits;
- insurance;
- technical condition of vehicles;
- compliance with transportation laws;
- driver conduct;
- arrival of the vehicle;
- performance of the trip;
- passenger luggage;
- road traffic accidents and other incidents occurring during transportation;
- its own tax and accounting obligations.
LJet s.r.o. does not provide passenger transportation services and does not assume the obligations of a carrier merely because a ride request was created or processed through Taxee.
21. Responsibility of LJet s.r.o.
LJet s.r.o. is responsible for providing and operating its own software platform within the limits established by applicable law and these Terms.
Taxee depends on the operation of mobile networks, internet connectivity, GPS, operating systems, mapping services, payment services, Firebase, server infrastructure, and other third-party technologies.
Accordingly, LJet s.r.o. does not guarantee that the platform will operate continuously or without errors at all times.
Temporary issues may include:
- technical failures;
- delays in data transmission;
- location determination errors;
- outages of third-party services;
- technical maintenance;
- updates;
- temporary unavailability of individual functions.
LJet s.r.o. takes reasonable measures to maintain the operation of Taxee and address technical issues.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits the liability of LJet s.r.o. to the extent that such liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
22. Prohibited Use
Users must not use Taxee for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
In particular, users must not:
- place knowingly false or fictitious ride requests;
- systematically place ride requests without intending to travel;
- impersonate another person or use another personâs account without authorisation;
- interfere with the application, servers, or APIs;
- circumvent security mechanisms;
- use automated bots or scripts without the permission of LJet s.r.o.;
- attempt to obtain unauthorised access to other usersâ data;
- use Taxee for fraudulent purposes;
- intentionally disrupt the normal operation of the platform;
- use personal data obtained through Taxee for purposes unrelated to the relevant trip;
- engage in activities that violate applicable law or the rights of others.
23. Suspension or Restriction of an Account
LJet s.r.o. may temporarily restrict, suspend, or, where sufficient grounds exist, terminate a userâs access to Taxee where necessary to:
- protect the security of the platform or other users;
- investigate suspected fraud;
- prevent technical attacks or abuse;
- investigate serious or repeated complaints;
- comply with a legal obligation or binding request from a competent authority;
- respond to a material breach of these Terms.
When taking such measures, LJet s.r.o. will take into account the nature of the violation and applicable law.
Where circumstances permit, the user may be given an opportunity to contact support to clarify the reason for the restriction.
24. Account Deletion
Passengers may delete their Taxee account using the account deletion function available in the application.
Processing and deletion of personal data following account deletion are governed by the Taxee Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Deletion of a Taxee account does not automatically cancel obligations or records that the relevant taxi company is independently required to retain under applicable law.
25. Personal Data
The processing of usersâ personal data is governed by the separate Taxee Privacy Policy.
Users of Taxee should review the current Privacy Policy published on the official Taxee website.
26. Third-Party Services
Taxee may use third-party technology services to provide certain functions, including mapping, communication, payment, authentication, and other infrastructure services.
Use of certain third-party functions may also be subject to the terms of the relevant service provider.
LJet s.r.o. does not control the independent activities of third-party providers to the extent that such providers independently determine the terms under which they provide their services.
27. Changes to Taxee Functionality
LJet s.r.o. may develop, update, and modify Taxee functionality.
Individual functions may be added, changed, temporarily suspended, or discontinued, including for technical, commercial, legal, or security reasons.
Such changes do not affect rights already acquired by a passenger in relation to a previously completed transportation service, unless otherwise provided by applicable law.
28. Changes to These Terms
LJet s.r.o. may update these Terms from time to time, including due to:
- development of Taxee;
- introduction of new functionality;
- changes to the technical or commercial model;
- changes in legal requirements;
- security requirements.
The current version is published on the official Taxee website.
Where changes are material, users may receive notice through the application, by email, or by another appropriate method.
Continued use of Taxee after an updated version of these Terms becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent that such a mechanism is permitted by applicable law.
29. Applicable Law and Consumer Rights
These Terms are governed by the law applicable to LJet s.r.o. and the relevant relationship, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules.
If the user is a consumer, nothing in these Terms deprives the user of any mandatory rights and protections provided by the laws of the country of the userâs habitual residence where such rights apply and cannot be excluded by agreement.
Nothing in these Terms restricts the userâs right to bring a claim before a competent court or other competent authority where such a right is granted by mandatory applicable law.
